What the hell is up with this? Is adopting a baby from overseas like the new getting a new puppy? Is she bored? Needing publicity? Whatever. It just seems random to me.

Meg is taking the Woody Allen approach.
She'll raise her son as her own and then when the Chinese boy comes of age, Ms. Ryan will then marry him.
I call it Soon-Yi Syndrome.
And what the hell? Why is she going through the trouble of adopting a baby, then hires someone else to lug the baby around for her? If you are gonna adopt a baby, shoudn't you be doing all the mothering yourself?
